This time next week I’ll be waking up early with excitement and anticipation to meet our baby girl! This time next week I’ll be holding Brinlee in my arms and giving her sweet kisses on her cheek! This time next week Mason will be a big brother and our family will be whole, as well as our hearts!
I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by, but this final week will be sure to move by slowly. I’ve been having some pressure in my pelvic region that has me wondering if Brinlee might want to arrive sooner than later. I think there’s nothing to worry about, but these last few weeks are definitely testing me.
Testing me in ways like…how long can I really wait to go to the bathroom? And to be honest, it ain’t that long! I’ve been making four to five trips in the middle of the night. Luckily I haven’t tripped over anything crazy. Perhaps ran into the bed a few times, but that’s about it.
We are so ready for Brinlee to get here! I feel like the cleaning and organizing is as good as it’s going to get…meaning…I clean and it looks great, but then I remember I have a toddler who enjoys hiding toys under the couch, ha! I’ll be grateful for the healing time I’ll have so others can assist me with the cleaning and such. I remember that being something I learned the first go around…it’s ok to ask for help.
Today was physically overwhelming. This morning I was clammy, fog-headed, emotional and dealing with the pelvic pain didn’t help. It was the weirdest thing…like Brinlee telling me she’s SO ready to be here too. My body finally relaxed and I spent most of today preparing work projects for when I’m out on maternity leave. And then Mason snuggles before bed made everything all better. Loved capturing a photo of him rubbing my belly.
WOW! I just have to keep pinching myself! This time next week will be here before we know it!
