What a wonderful birthday weekend (slash) weekend family getaway at Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate! We planned this weekend’s mini vacation a while back when thinking of things to do for my birthday, as well as a little baby moon before Brinlee’s arrival. It started out a little bumpy with Mason’s cranky spell, but turned into an awesome weekend of fun and relaxation. I seriously love spending time with my husband and son! They make everything perfect and this mini vacay was just that!

We arrived at the Omni Saturday afternoon. We attempted to settle Mason down for an afternoon nap before heading out to the pool, but someone was being stubborn about the whole thing. Thus…we spent all afternoon at the pool in order to tire Mason out. Worked like a charm and he got in a two hour nap before fireworks, then bed by 9:30pm. BTW…those fireworks were amazing and we couldn’t get over our view from the room. I loved that Mason was able to enjoy them before bed too.

Today we got up early in order to snag some lounge chairs by the pool. Since we arrived late yesterday there were no chairs to be found until someone offered one up, but today we had front row seats and the entire pool to ourselves until about 10am. Took a few turns around the lazy river, roamed around the splash pad, then swam a little in the main pool before checking out. I found myself super relaxed on our way home. Hard to believe when you have a toddler near by, but with Mason being such a water baby; the hotel offered everything he could ever want.

Also, if ordering room service we recommend the chicken fingers and fries to dip in ranch dressing. We were so hungry after the pool yesterday we stuffed our face with that and it was well worth calling on room service. Then for dinner (even though I was full from lunch…but whatever, I’m pregnant) we ordered pizza from the hotel’s restaurant Trevi’s. Delish! I think I’ve had my fair share of food this weekend. I’m literally and figuratively about to pop in more ways than one.
